Zakar Art ... the interweaving of music, movement and art.

The Zakar Art Movement began in the Restaurants and Pubs in Easton, Pennsylvania, encouraged by the singer/songwriters who lived in the area and often attended the Open Mic sessions at Porters' Pub and the Indian Rock Inn. Small paintings could be found drying atop glasses of beer and wine, spreading out across the room as the hours passed and the music pulsed through the souls of those gathered to listen, play, sing, dance, drink, and to paint.

The piles of small paintings, simple gestures of color and line, grew rapidly in my studio. Word spread and soon I was painting at openings for art exhibitions, dance performances, dance rehearsals and yoga classes.

Previously they have only been available through the galleries that represent my studio work and through Wings Conservatory of the Performing Arts and Easton Yoga. Recently, I have received a multitude of inquiries through my web site www.crcarter.com. I have decided to offer the Zakar Art paintings for sale through eBay. Most likely, I will start by putting one up for sale every three days or so. They vary in size, they vary in style and they will vary as far as the minimum bid required. Zakar Art is extremely affordable ranging between $50 and $300. My hope is that more people will treat themselves to the experience and joy of having original art in their homes and work places. A bit of the energy of the painter is in every original painting. In every Zakar Art Painting there is also a bit of the musician and the dancer as well as the painter.

Within a day or two, paintings will be available on eBay.
